Wonderland Lodge
Our cabin is named after the Wonderland Trail, a famous hiking route that circumnavigates completely around Mount Rainier. It draws hikers from around the world.
And we are the perfect place to rest and relax after you complete the 10 day, 93 mile trek and cumulative 22,000 feet of elevation.
Even if you don't take the hike, you'll love our luxurious mountain lodge in the Greenwater area, Northeast of the mountain, and just down the road from Crystal Mountain Ski Resort. Accessible year round.
The large living room is just the place to gather with friends and family and you will find the over sized leather furniture down right luxurious compared to sitting around the campfire (even though that is fun too!)
Year round the living room is flooded with light from the high windows and in the summer you can stroll out the glass doors to spend days on the large deck which is especially soothing at twilight.
On the north end of the deck is our large hot tub, sure to warm up your body and your soul.
Upstairs is a large loft complete with flat screen television, a DVD player with disks to watch. (Sorry no cable TV, hey you're in the mountains!)
After sleeping on the cold hard ground during your Wonderland hike, you will love our large master bedroom with king sized bed, hotel quality linens and soft fluffy pillows.
In the second bedroom there is a bunk bed, but the bottom is double bed width for extra space.
The third bedroom has a deck and has two sets of bunks which means there are sleeping spots for 9 people in beds and that beats even the big tent you took on the hike.
There are 2 and a half bathrooms with hot showers you'll enjoy after that hike. One bathroom has a big jacuzzi and the other even has a steam room. No more frigid river waters trail sponge baths, no siree.
The kitchen has been upgraded with quality appliances, large refrigeration and comes equipment with all the pots, pans and utensils you'll enjoy using after cooking over a camp stove.
The dining area has a table and chairs along with all the silverware, plates, bowls and cups of course.
The home is surrounded by large trees and the yard is left in a landscape as is required in this mountain area. You may see squirrels, rabbits and the herd of elk that frequent the area.
Wonderland Lodge is in a quiet mountain neighborhood, an easy stroll to the white river, a great place for children and adults to bicycle and also close to hikes for all levels of experience.
You don't have to be a mountaineer to stay at our home, you just have to like comfort and convenience.
